- 1/4 Cup liquid vegetable-based soap or mild shampoo
- 2 Tablespoon fresh lemon or lime juice
- 1/4 Cup water
- 1 Lemon

- Grate the outer part of the lemon skin until you have a teaspoon of the zest. You can also save if for future use.
- Heat the soap, lemon juice, lemon zest and water in the sauce pan for 2 minutes. Do not allow the mixture to hiss or boil. Use medium heat.
- Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. This will take about 10 minutes.
- Strain out the lemon zest and store the strained liquid in a shampoo bottle. You can use this shampoo every day. Rinse thoroughly after every use.
